Chapter 9: The chairman

Louis dwells on accompanying Lissie. His mind is not at peace given what happened earlier in the morning. Louis didn't want him out of his sight, it makes him anxious each time he’s thinking of her.

A small chuckle comes out her lips. Lissie reassured him, “Relax, Louis. I'm fine, okay? No goons will randomly show up to ruin my day again.”

“You're not sure, Lissie. You can't just disregard this thing. Being with Colton Vistagra isn't safe.” He said with his warmth voice with a little touch of warning. “How about I'll handle your grandma's death? Just go back and—”

Lissie didn't let Louis finish. “This is my own affair, Louis. I appreciate your help but I suggest you focus on yours and I'll do the same thing.” Lissie affirmed, showing him her huge smile.
