“Forcing her to talk, you shouldn’t have done that,” Leanda murmured, “Now my life is in more danger, she would come after me again,” Leanda sniffled.

Alarick shook his head and smiled. He moved closer to Leanda and heldher hand, “She can do whatever she want, but I will be here, I will be here to protect you.”

Leanda looked up into his eyes, she could see the sincerity in them, but her fear still remains, “But Bree would do something too.”

Alarick closed the gap between them and pulled Leanda close to himself, enveloping her in a protective embrace. Leanda could feel his strong arms around her, and for a moment, she felt safe. "I won't let anything happen to you, Leanda," Alarick said softly, his voice filled with conviction.

Leanda looked up at him, and for the first time, she saw the concern in his eyes. "I know you'll try, but Bree is still out there," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
