Her words hung heavy in the room, a testament to the lack of communication and understanding that had clouded this impending marriage.The room fell silent, the air heavy with unspoken tension. Brixlee's gaze shifted from Jessica to the room around her, a beautifully decorated space that seemed to mock her current state of turmoil.

“No one felt the need to inform me?!” Brixlee asked as she felt her voice raising in dispair.

“I’m sorry, Brixlee, I thought Xavier already told you” Jessica replied slowly.

Brixlee slowly got on her feet. “No, I’m sorry for raising my voice. I need a moment to think, Jessica. I’m really sorry” she said as she stormed out of the house.
