Nicole hated this. No, she hated this man.

Her mother had told her that it was rude to hate someone, especially when they are your friend, but right now, there was no rudeness attached. She simply hated this man in her presence. He irked her. He disgusted her.

His scent, his face- which every woman would literally die to see. She hated it, and lastly, she hated his flirting techniques.

"Let's talk again, Nicole." He laughs, showing off his perfectly toned teeth arranged quite neatly, he picked up the napkin and dabbed his lips gently, "Why can't we be together again?"

Nicole was sure Zane was watching, he was always beside her, protecting her- even when she had told him she didn't needed his protection, the latter just chose to stick with her.
