CHAPTER 101

“I see where this is all going.”

With a sly smile, but a supportive tone that Adriella doesn’t want Sam to notice just yet. She hugs her son and Sam replied with the same back.

“You’ve been through so much, I just want to make sure that this time she is the right one for you.”

She whispers that Sam completely understands where she is coming from.

“I know mom and I thank you for that.”

Adriella wants to honestly confront Sam and ends up teasing him for what she learned. Confess to her son what she is really up to and why she came rushing back. Yet, not for now.

“You do not need to besides mothers always know best.”

She was a bit teases and reminded of the line that she always used since then. The fact that the test that she needed to do is only a façade to what she truly wanted to see and prove to herself that Cath is the one that will complete Sam.

“I’ll just be here for a while, and you should take a rest now. You need to be early for work. Goodnight son.”

“Goodnight mom.”
