CHAPTER 304

GUN shots can be heard from a distance and back. The exchange and the loud crash with the blow of a bomb shake the ground for a few seconds. Holding on to a tree while tightly holding Lindsey’s hand with her right one, Cath held her ground looks back when Lindsey screams in surprise at what just happened. Starling Cole awake, that worried Cath even more than she is under a lot of stress right now.

“Lindsey, are you alright?”

“I am. I am just startled.”

“Mom? Mommy?”

“Cole.”

They both immediately coax the child back to sleep. Lindsey covered Cole’s ears while hugging the little boy tight into her arms.

“Mommy, aunt Lindsey, what is happening?”

“Don’t worry Cole, that was just nothing, just go back to sleep.”

Relieved that the little boy is still sleepy and that it didn’t give them the hard time to coaxing it back to sleep. Cath looks around and a few steps away from where she instructed Lindsey to stay covered and safe with Cole.

“Tsk!” She couldn’t help but click her tongue
