CHAPTER 39

FRIEND. The word that keeps on repeating inside Cath’s mind. Making her frustrated for the reasons that she couldn’t accept and never will be.

“Sir, ma’am. Your orders.”

The food starts to arrive with the people around them with wide eyes and couldn’t believe what they are seeing.

“I can finish this, all of it.”

She firmly stood with what she had said with a bit of irritated and angered tone upon Sam’s expression that is doubting her.

“You said it.”

Sam just agrees, didn’t want to argue with her noticing her frustration that he had no idea why.

“Friend.”

She whispers to herself and just enough for her to hear. The same word that she couldn’t let go, of and is making her frustrated and irritated by Sam by the minute.

“Come on Cath, get your head in the game.”

Once more reminding herself of her little ritual at hand. That honestly amuses Sam while pretending that he is not hearing her say a thing.

“Okay.”
