CHAPTER 48

“I told you didn’t I, you are my wife as I am your husband.”

Speechless, Cath could only stare at Sam in the eyes while he is teasing her for the fact that they are a temporary husband and wife for the rest of the day.

“For a day, and that’s all.”

She immediately pops his bubble, but instead of having the slightest disappointed expression that she’s hoping to see. Sam instead even smile wider, move close to her, and whisper right to her ears.

“At least, I have a day with you.”

Oh, God! She wanted to ask for help and a bit from someone, or anyone that will pull Sam a bit away from her for even a minute. For she feels like she’s almost at her limit and will about to burst by his constant teasing that is not just effective but is shaking her into consideration for what he wanted for the both of them to end.

“Ma’am, here’s your order.”

Breaking the moment, in time, and just what Cath needed. She immediately took the tray of food and left Sam to get the other one.
