CHAPTER 59

A sudden knock on the door breaks Sam's concentration.

“Come in.”

He commanded and allowed the request. But unlike his usual attitude and anger issues from the past when his employees disturb him he prompted them to push each other on the task of delivering his lunch for the day.

“Mr. CEO.”

One of the nutrition departments enters and announces his presence by almost stuttering. Expecting Sam to scold him hard.

Yet.

“Mike?”

“Yes, Sir! Sir?”

Taken aback and acted like a military cadet for a second before realizing that instead of scolding Sam, their company’s CEO calls his name. By which Sam never did, for the whole year that he’s been an employee.

“Nothing.”

Disappointed by seeing his employee rather than Cath. That he is sure by now that she then again is distancing herself from him. Like he is a big virus that Cath should run away from before she could catch it.

“She didn’t come and deliver it herself unlike what I told her.”

A bit irritated while whispering those facts
