Chapter 44: Cover up

Nyx’s POV

I prepared for school the next morning sluggishly. I was worried about many things, my performance in Narek’s class topping the list.

As a matter of fact I wasn’t able to get an animal for the experiment like Narek instructed and so was worried I will get on his bad side, again.

A sigh escaped my lips as I sat back on my bed dejectedly. Narin was already up and scrolling mindlessly on her tablet, her mood wasn’t all that great too and she was quiet as usual.

My mind wandered back to the terrifying dream I had the night before and cold chills ran down my spine.

I was the centre of attraction in that dream, not because I was dressed gorgeously or because I changed my hair colour or something of that sort. I was a different person entirely.

My hair looked longer, healthier and it seemed like I had wings with my eyes blazing with fire. I was powerful, too powerful that the students and teacher started to call me cursed.

I didn’t blame them though, I was looking too terrifying
