Chapter Six: The Princess
"Kat!" Serena Moore pulled the covers back from her cousin's still form.
Kat opened her eyes and glared at the older woman.
"What do you want?" She asked, turning onto her side and burrowing her face back under the blanket. Having spent most of the night cursing Evan Alston for his vile behavior, she had finally fallen to sleep a few hours before dawn. Needless to say, the interruption by her favorite relative wasn't welcomed.
"Come on, sleepy-head. Wake up," Serena patted Kat's bum lightly. "It's nearing ten o'clock,"
"So what? It's Saturday—my day off!" Kat whined.
"You're having brunch with Princess Penelope, remember?" Serena pulled the sheets completely off the bed.
