Jacob’s Return VII

No one saw Jacob move. No one except the ancients that all had smirk on their faces when Jacob was suddenly in the face of Jackson, when Jacob was suddenly lifting the Alpha up from his seat whilst choking him with a death grip on the latter’s neck.

Lisa had fallen to the ground out of fright and shock, an event which pleased Zande no great deal. For an added flourish, she swept Lisa’s hand which had been supporting the latter’s weight on the ground, off the ground, such that Lisa plummeted down the stairs, her head hitting hard on the polished floor. A scream echoed through the inner court.

‘I wouldn’t peg you for a petty woman, Zande.’

Zande ignored Amia, refusing to let the latter’s taunt dampen her happiness at seeing the Luna squirm and cry for help. No one came to their rescue. It was then that Zande realized that the guards had left them to themselves. Weren’t the lot supposed to guard their leaders?
