I woke up the next morning and mum wasn't by my side anymore but Ares was. He was staring at me and it startled me for a few seconds.

“Jeez, how long have you been staring at me like that? You scared me, you know. Wait a minute, you haven't been like that for long, right?” I asked him all at once the moment I recovered myself.

He let out a deep throaty chuckle and I really liked the sound of that.

“Calm down. I haven't been staring for too long. Just a couple of minutes and I didn't mean to scare you. You look really innocent while you sleep and I couldn't help staring”. He replied.

“Ohh, alright then”. I smiled as I couldn't meet his gaze anymore.

“By the way, where's mum? She's no longer by my side”. I asked him again.

“Ohhh yeah I almost forgot. She's downstairs in the kitchen preparing something for you to eat so you can take your drugs”. He said, sitting up.

“Alright, I thought she had gone without telling me." I responded, sighing a sigh of relief.

“Silly me,
