CHAPTER SIXTY NINE: BACK AT THE BAKERY.

BACK AT THE BAKERY.

Ruth.

I was about to leave when Rose suddenly came back and I cursed inwardly. I wanted to go without her knowing.

“Where are you going, Ruth?”. She asked me.

“Out as you can see”. I replied rather harshly and I hoped she wouldn't become suspicious.

Because she knows I don’t normally leave the house by this time and if I do, I'll wait for her to be back from work before I go. But this time around, I purposely wanted to leave before she came back so she wouldn't notice but boom, here she is.

“Do you mind telling me where?” Rose asked me again.

“It's no business of yours. As you can see, I'm in a hurry so get out of my way and quit asking me stupid questions”. I replied and pushed her out of the way.

I was really getting irritated with her questions. I quickly left the house and hailed a taxi to my favorite cafe. I kept on looking over my shoulders to be sure I wasn't being followed.
