I didn't know what Ares meant until a few seconds later. I hoped it was what I was thinking, I really hoped so.

“To your face? What do you mean by that? Don't joke with me Ares”. Amelia replied over the phone. She seemed a little bit scared and I smiled inwardly.

“Ohhh Amelia, silly Amelia, I mean why don't you look up and tell me that to my fucking face!!”. Ares shouted and immediately ended the call.

A few seconds later, a group of men burst into the room and Ares came in last. He looked at me and I could see pain in his eyes. The ladies were all surprised. They definitely were not expecting this. Who would have known Ares knew about their plan.

He immediately took a gun from one of his guards and used it to shoot his secretary on her leg. I flinched at the sound of the gunshot and she let out a loud cry of pain as the gun fell out of her hand.

I was glad a gun wasn't pointed at me anymore but I somehow felt for her
