Chapter 27: Right or Wrong?
Regina’s P.O.V
“You looked like you were about to cry.”
That snapped me out of my trance faster than any bullet could.
“Why would I want to cry?” I shot back, narrowing my eyes at his handsome face. “Especially for someone who nearly starved me to death and left me locked up in a room, literally tied to the bed?”
“As you can see, I was shot.” He motioned at himself with his eyes before looking back at me, fixing me with that penetrating gaze. “I hadn't expected the problem to persist this long. I had expected to be back here the very next day, in the afternoon at the latest.”
“That still doesn’t excuse what you did to me.” I told him outright. “It was still wrong.”
“And what about you?” Draco tilted up my face with his fingers under my chin. “Do you think what y
Chapter 28: ConditionsDraco’s P.O.V“Joel, take care of the art room supplies and tell me about its progress when it’s over.” I told Regina’s bodyguard. “Make sure it’s ready by this afternoon.”When I was hanging up the phone, my eyes met Rico’s in the rear-view mirror for a short instant before he averted his eyes and went back to driving the car in silence.I was heading to the warehouse once again, but this time to check on the consignment that contained all the weapons that were sent in this morning by Donatello from Detroit. The coast was finally clear after Cheng Li’s death as the last of the opposition left Detroit to head back to their own Syndicates all over the US. It wasn’t exactly convenient for them to stay away from their territory any longer because in the criminal underworld, no one knew who was going to backstab you next. No one co
Chapter 29: Don’t Make Me Weak…Regina’s P.O.VIt was some time after lunch hours that I heard a knock at the door to Draco’s room.I frowned as I came inside from the balcony, where I had been looking out at the vast land stretched out for miles in front of me and admiring the view. Honestly, I was bored out of my mind at having nothing to do in this huge ass house. The humongous swimming pool in the front yard was tempting at best but at the same time, I didn’t want to bathe in it because so far, all I had seen were male bodyguards stationed at every nook and cranny around this estate and the last thing I wanted was for them to be ogling me as I went to the pool in a bathing suit. But despite this being a mansion…the only rooms I was allowed to access were the dining room, the living room, the kitchen and Draco’s room. Which wasn’t much considering the huge amount
Chapter 30: Demons from the PastRegina’s P.O.V“I was sixteen when my parents died in a car crash…they were in the front seat and it was raining heavily. They were arguing about something that night…something I don’t even remember, and I asked them if they were getting a divorce.” I lied, because I couldn’t let him know the truth. “They were shocked that I would think that way. Truth was…I had never seen my parents fight like that before. They used to argue at home to, but I guess that’s normal when you work in the same company.”“But that day it was worse. But they reassured me that it was nothing…they were just having a disagreement and it will eventually be sorted out. But while they were explaining the situation to me…they failed to see the incoming truck. It was raining so heavily…the next thing I know, I woke up in the ho
Chapter 31: Aftercare Regina’s P.O.V “Ouch! Be gentle, will you?” I raised my eyebrows at the man who didn’t have any problem having sex on the cold, hardwood floor with two bullet holes on his shoulder; but now wants me to be ‘gentle’ while I scrub his back in the shower? Okay…I admit…there might be more than a few scratches from my nails on his back now, but I had more hickies all over my chest to match those scratches! It serves him just right! But I obeyed his demands nonetheless and wiped his back gently, reminding myself to be careful of the bullet wounds. They were still raw and healing and it was going to take some time before he could remove those patches from his skin that prevented water to enter the wounds and infect them further. “So…how was your day?” I asked nonchalantly. Draco however, stilled in front of me; his body going motionless like a statue. “Why do you ask?” There was something in his voice that I didn’t quite grasp, but I decided to let it go because
Chapter 32: Rico and Paris 6Rico’s P.O.V“You keep looking around like you’re waiting for your mystery man to suddenly jump out of the shadows.” Keith gave me a smirk as he watched me turn around for the hundredth time.“I’m not!” I told him immediately. “I’m making sure my bod-uncles, didn’t follow us here! I told them I was going to your house to finish working on my assignment…”However, now I looked up at the long line of men and women standing in front of me, lining up to enter the club at nine in the evening; my fake ID clutched tightly in my hands because I was scared of someone noticing me or snatching the ID from my hands.“Well, stop doing that!” Keith finally sighed at my nervousness. “If you keep looking like a deer caught in a headlight, we’d be kicked out in no time. Better yet, we won’t even be all
Chapter 33: First Date Regina’s P.O.V “Here,” Joel placed a box on the stool next to me in the art room. I frowned at his smug expression. “More art supplies?” I don’t think the art room had any more space for art supplies and I already had everything I could have every dreamed of. Why was Draco giving me more boxes of them again? “You know these things can go bad too, right?” I raised my eyebrows at him. “Paint can dry up just as easily and your Capo has gotten me enough to last me two years even if I were to paint on a daily basis! What exactly is he trying to do here? Turn me into Leonardo da Vinci?” “If you would only just…open the goddamn box!” Joel threw up his hands in frustration. Rolling my eyes at his dramatics, I got off my stool to set aside my brushes and clean my hands from the residual paint before I went on to open the box that Joel had delivered to me. Half expecting it
Chapter 34: Playing With Fire Regina’s P.O.VDraco took one look at me and scrunched up his nose wearily. “Joel was right…I definitely regret buying this dress for you.”“So, apparently…men gossip even more than women do.” I narrowed my eyes at him. When I had come out of the room after getting my hair and makeup done and finally put on the dress, Joel had been the first one to scrunch up his nose distastefully, while giving me a thorough lookout from head to toe. I knew what he was gonna say even before he opened his mouth.“I’d never let my daughter wear this.”I had merely rolled my eyes, because let’s face it…when his daughter grows up, he’ll be eating his words right off the floor. If I ever get my hands on that girl, I’ll make sure to let her know just how big of a softie her dad really is.Now, I narrowed my
Chapter 35: Crime and PunishmentRegina’s P.O.V“Put me down!” I screamed at the top of my lungs, not caring that almost everyone in the mansion could hear me. “Put me the fuck down!”But Draco didn’t give a shit about me or my screaming fit as he carried me off to his lair, his hands holding onto me with a vice grip as I hung over his shoulders like a rag doll. Wasn’t this guy injured?“Draco!” I screamed once again. “I said put me the fuck down!”“Not until you’ve learned your lesson.” Was the nonchalant reply as he carried me with ease while his men looked straight ahead with perfect poker faces, as if his boss throwing women over his shoulders and carrying them around the house was no big deal. How often did the fucker do this again? As soon as we reached his room, the guards situated outside immediately opened the doors
