Draco’s P.O.V
The sound of my phone buzzing on the side table woke me up from my sleep, making me instantly alert.
The clock on the opposite wall read seven thirty and I had no prior appointments this early in the morning. So I reached out to silence the phone before turning to face Gina, who was sleeping soundly right next to me, one of her arms thrown over my waist.
Her head was lying partly on my shoulder, but I think even in her subconscious mind, she was aware of my injury, which was why she had still managed to lean away from me.
I found myself smiling despite the fact that I wasn’t fully awake yet.
Moving her hand away from my waist, I got up from the bed and carefully placed her hand on my pillow, before turning to pick up the phone and enquire who had been calling me.
“Gabriele?” I whispered, wiping the sleep from my eyes.
