ALESSANDRO’S POV

Even with my wound and my tired body, I still couldn’t get the much required sleep. After staring blankly at the ceiling for the most part of the night, I was up early the next morning and going through some documents.

The next morning, a knock sounded on my door.

“Come in...” I said knowing it would be no other person but Dominque.

“Boss,” he pushed the door and walked in but stopped after taking two steps. I briefly looked up and nodded him to come further in.

“How are you feeling now?” he asked.

I chuckled a bit.

Been quite a while I heard that question.

“How is the security? Any breeched yet?” I asked, intentionally ignoring his question

“None for now. All secured. If I may ask...” he stopped and hesitated for a bit. I sent him a go ahead look.

“Did your friend betray you? Is that why you came in blooded...And what are these papers? Are you leaving the city?”

I looked up to meet his face briefly before I lowered my head back to the files in my hands. He sure asks
