Chapter Fifty Seven

Sarita felt very nervous as the car pulled up on her driveway. She'd been gone for days but thankfully they got back just in time before school resumed on Monday so she wouldn't miss anything at all.

She wasn't nervous about seeing her parents again... if anything she'd latch onto her mother for hours and never let her go. She was just nervous because she was a changed person now and she was scared that her parents would notice the change.

"Thank you for the ride home, Mr Suryavanshi." She said.

"Don't mention it. Just take care of yourself and make sure you go for a check-up." He told her.

"Yes sir." She nodded. "Bye, Mayank."

"I'll have a new phone delivered to your house this evening." He informed her. "Or would you prefer I send it through Kaly?"

"Um... Sure." She said. "You just called her Kaly. You've never called her Kaly."

"I did, didn't I?" He murmured. "My brain is probably exhausted." As if on cue, he let out a loud yawn and his father laughed.
