-Hi there. Are you done playing hard to get? Cause I miss you. Go out with me today my lovely. Dennis.-A deep scowl plastered on her face, Lacey crumpled the piece of paper she had found in her locker before gathering her books and going off to her next class. As the class went on, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She glanced over her shoulder and a note was slipped into her hand. -You look pretty today as always. Did you read my first note? Go out with me. Please. You know I won't stop. I promise we'll be better than before. Just say yes. Dennis-She sighed and closed her eyes. Why did she even keep reading his stupid note? She crumpled the note as well and pushed it to the corner of her desk. Even after the class was over her eye brows remained furrowed. She sat at the lunch table trying really hard to listen to what Bethany and Anita were talking about. Dennis' little notes had left her mind flooding with how best to tell him she had a boyfriend. She bit he
He had one hand round her waist and the other on her face while her hands gripped his shirt. Lacey had practically forgotten all about Dennis and his words. She had to tell Tom though. Maybe when he wasn't kissing her. They were behind a hidden colum. Almost too in the dark for anyone to see their faces. "What happened to not kissing me in the dark?" "I miss you and I need a kiss before the game. We could keep not making out in the dark to strictly cinemas." They kept kissing. "I like that idea. Tom.""Mm hmm?" "Dennis didn't believe me.""Then ignore him. I know I was very close to giving up when you ignored me." She laughed. Now all her worries about that were gone. Her phone began to ring. "Its my mother." She cleared her throat. His lips moved down to her neck. "Mother?" "You're late."She bit her lip. "I know. I went home. I'll be leaving soon." He chuckled. "Hurry up.""I will." The line went dead. "I have to go." "I know. Me too." He stepped back with
Darin sank into the couch in his brother's office for the third time that day. Staring at the wall, he sighed and looked over at Marvin who's head was in his phone and his feet on his desk. "I'm starting to think I should have stayed home instead of following you here." Marvin ignored him. "Can I have my phone back now?" "Not a chance. You invade my work place, I invade your phone.""Yeah well, I'm just about ready to leave, so invasions are over. Are you looking at that Holloway app again?" "Yeah. Unfortunately, the only interesting thing on it was that fight you showed me. Every other thing on here is stupid and boring." "Then check something else. Maybe YouTube or something. I want to delete the app even." "Hold up, a new video's been posted."Darin sighed, very ready to get up and snatch the phone from him. Maybe it'll make the day a little less boring. He got to his feet. "Shouldn't you be working?" Marvin's fingers worked the phone. The video started
Tom reclined in his chair at the lunch bar, his friends listening to what he was saying. "Fifteen grand against Croft." He said. So far, besides the stares he got, his friends hadn't brought the kiss up and that was a good thing. He couldn't say the same for Lacey. The last time he glanced her way she had her head down and other girls besides the two girls she was with obviously had something to say. How was he going to start apologising? Not to mention when he went looking for her after Ms. Patter's class he couldn't find her. She wasn't even in the burnt house. "Fifteen grand against Croft. You're betting with college kids?" David spoke and Tom nodded. "What if you lose? And by that I mean what if they win?" "Then I'll pay. What else can I do?""To tell the truth Tom, I think your betting is getting out of hand." Tate added. "You should slow it down a bit." "What? I can pay.""It's not the point dude. It's gambling." George spoke up. "On some level you have to know tha
"What's going on?" Bethany asked when she approached the other girls at the table. Lacey had her head bent and her forehead creased, hating herself for allowing herself to be dragged to the lunch bar. After her last class before lunch, Anita and Fay walked up to her sides, took her hands and pulled her with them despite her refusal and wish to be alone. And now all eyes were either on her or the students around were coming to give their comments on the matter. "You're joking right?" Anita looked at Bethany in disbelief."What?" She looked at all of them. "What's going on?" She repeated. "Tom Wade kissed Lacey in Ms. Patter's class." Anita answeredBethany gasped and took her seat beside them. "No way really?" "Check the Holloway app would you." Fay instructed and she obeyed. "Wow! How was it?" Anita and Fay glared at her and she simmered down her excitement. "Sorry. I'm sorry." "As if you would like it if that was done to you." Fay said, patting Lacey's back.
His hair was a mess and there was frustration in his eyes. Where did she go? Tom went straight to her house after having been in detention for his stupid mistake; and both Lola and Sadey had told him she wasn't there. Lola had said to check Cosmos, which he did and she wasn't there either. Of course he tried her cell but she wasn't answering. The receptionist said she hadn't been there so he went to White Mist. She wasn't there either. He was told to try her mother's office building. He doubted she was there and was leaning towards driving to her father's house when he changed his mind. With a bouquet of assorted flowers in one hand and a box of chocolate in the other. Which he had been carrying around from the moment his search began, he walked into the almost completely empty lobby. He sighed in relief when he saw her coming out of an elevator. "Lacey!" He called out. She looked his way and made her way towards him. He had expected that if she saw the offerings... so to speak, in h
Lying on his bed, Lacey rested her head on his chest listening to his heart beat and feeling the rhythm of their breathing. With their legs tangled and their forms so close to each other, she felt warm and comfortable. Softly sliding her hand on his lower arm until her fingers intertwined with his, she smiled when he locked his fingers, then she locked hers. His other hand squeezed her shoulder lightly. They weren't talking, they were just in a comfortable silence that made them both happy. She wasn't angry anymore. Tom couldn't begin to discribe how happy that made him. He had to admit though, that he was a lot relieved that it hadn't ended with them breaking up. It sounds stupid but it could have been possible. He knew what she wanted and with no reasoning what so ever, he almost wrecked it. Her decision to stop sneaking around was a good idea. Now that Tom is in her life, she can't imagine him not being in it. She loved him, so the thought of losing him felt dreadful. Unles
Almost five minutes after Tom had arrived, Lacey arrived as well. He got out of his car and discretely went to hers and sat in the back seat. It was 4:43. p.m which meant they still had a few minutes to kill before they had to go in for the match. Still sitting in the driver's seat, Lacey turned back and locked eyes with him. He stared at her smiling and she stared right back doing the same. It was cold out and the both had their jackets on. "See I told you your hair is longer." Tom stated. "I know it is." She tugged a braided strand. She had braided one small part of her hair on each side and joined them together at the back while the rest of her hair fell in place. "You look beautiful.""Why thank you handsome." She smiled wider and he chuckled. "So who do you think is going to win this match?" They talked and laughed until they decided it was time to go in. He looked outside the window to make sure it was safe before he stepped out of the car. The parking lot had more
