Chapter 38: The Fake Feelings

Daniel’s POV

‘Haist,’

Standing outside the room, I rubbed my ear as if it hurt because Russell had bit it earlier. However, I couldn’t stop smiling.

‘She’s jealous.’ I thought.

I grinned, sat beside the bedroom door, and leaned against it. It hit me like a giant wave when I found out Russell was jealous. She likes me, and I know she denies it. And because it hurts his feelings, I won’t let it go unnoticed; I’ll use it to my advantage.

“I’m glad you’re here, Daniel...”

I turned towards the stairs when I heard Alena’s voice. I looked at her when she stood in front of me, puzzled.

“Here.” Alena handed me the phone, which I took right away. “It rang on the beach a while ago, and I answered it.”

I frowned, so I immediately checked the phone’s call log. I got a phone call from Kim.

“The girl said you should call her as soon as possible because she will wait for your call,” Alena said.
