Chapter 3: Disowned & Banished!

Wendy's POV

Heartbroken isn't the only word to use in this situation. I felt useless, stupid, afraid, crushed, beaten emotionally, and downcast, I felt hatred, a bitter, deep feeling of hatred. I hated everything around me, I hated everyone around me.

Not knowing what else to do, I had to run to a park nearby. The place was empty and calm, there I fell on my knees and burst into tears.

“Ahh!” I screamed in pain and agony. I have never been this fooled before. Why didn't I see it before? How come I didn't notice it?

I have always seen Aaron to be the best man there can ever be in the world. I trusted him with my life, if I had not caught him red-handed, I wouldn't have believed him even if a friend had told me.

A sick feeling erupted from my stomach, before I could understand myself, I began to puke right there in the field. I threw up whatever was left in my stomach. I hated the feeling, the feeling I was feeling inside me. I wasn't this horrible when I was told I would be getting married to a widower, I should have just settled for the widower even if I didn't love him.

I should go back to them and tell them I was ready to marry him, what's his name? George.

Yes, I have to marry George and save my face along with that of my family.

I remained in the park until it was mid-afternoon before making my way back to the palace. I knew my parents wouldn't be happy with what I did, but I was coming to ask for forgiveness. I would marry whoever they ask me to marry.

When I got to the palace, there were a lot of reporters around. The place was so crowded that I wondered what was going on.

“The princess is here!” Someone screamed and everyone turned towards me with their cameras and mic.

“Princess Wendy, is it true that you have been against the wedding right from the on-set?”

“Princess Wendy, why did you run away?”

“Princess, were you ever in love with your groom?”

Questions from left and right came flying down to my ears. With the help of the guards, I was able to get past them to the front of the crowd, where my father and mother stood.

They must have called for the crowd because in front of them were many mics.

“Mom, Dad,” I called when I saw that they weren't even looking at me. I was standing in front of the crowd, yet they looked like they couldn't see me. My mom was still stealing glances at me and I could decipher the fear and sadness in her expression.

My father cleared his throat before speaking,

“Today, early this morning, I had a daughter whom you all know as princess Wendy,” There was total silence as he spoke,

“But as I speak to you right now, I do not have a child!”

I gasped as I looked from my father to the people besides him, they all had emotionless expressions on their faces. My heart began to beat so loudly as I tried to speak,

“Father…?”

“From this day forward, the king and his queen have no daughter named Wendy. Wendy has been disowned from the royal family and the palace!”

“No!” I screamed as I rushed to where they stood, but was stopped by the guards.

“Father, I'm sorry! Please, father!” I yelled, but Father only continued,

“Today, the 5th of December, marks the day of her death to the royal family”

“No!” I screamed as I struggled to get out of the grip of the guards who had held me. I saw a tear roll down my mother's eyes, but she immediately wiped them off before they got to her lips.

Oh mother, I'm sorry… please.

I didn't care if I was screaming, shouting, or not acting like a princess, I didn't know what I would do if my father disowned me. They cannot do this to their only child, I was their only child. How do they plan to live without me?

“Mother, please…” I cried, but they both ignored me as they signed in the royal book that I was no longer part of the bloodline.

Before my eyes, my father banished me from living in the palace. Publicly, he announced that I was disowned.

“No!” I cried. I screamed and begged, but that was the king and queen for you. If they decide on a thing, absolutely nothing can change their mind.

They were about to leave after talking when I screamed,

“Mother! Mother, please. I am your daughter,” I cried. Mother waved at the guards to leave me alone, and I rushed towards her. I was about to hug her, but she stepped away trying hard to keep a firm face.

“For the disgrace you have caused upon this family. For staining our family's name and ruining our reputation, you should be glad we are not throwing you in jail along with your worthless friends” Her voice was cold.

Mother had never used that tone at me. That's the tone she uses for servants who annoyed her or her subjects who vexed her, not me. Never me.

“Mother, I'm sorry,”

“There are some things that cannot be corrected. This is an example. Go and live your life with your boyfriend who you ran to earlier. I am very sure he would love you without the title, princess”.

I fell to my knees as I watched her walk away from me. Her words pierced deep through my heart, causing me to begin to tremble. The man I had left my family to be with had abandoned me the same way I had abandoned my family when they needed me the most.

“Princess Wendy, where will you go from here?”

“Princess Wendy, is it true you had a lover aside from the groom?”

“She is no longer a princess!” I heard my father's voice. His voice was so loud that even without the mic, everyone got the message.

He picked up the mic,

“Wendy is not a princess. There is no princess in Havon's kingdom! The meeting is over, everyone can take their leave now!”

“Guards!” My father called, “Drag her out of here!" And my eyes widened.
