Chapter 24

After I woke up from my sleep which lasted almost two hours, I took a bath, share a light kiss with Adrian who was in the kitchen making some snacks. I offered to help but he asked me not to bother, he wanted making some quick snacks by himself before preparing for the dinner meeting with Damon. I had forgotten about this entirely, the good thing was that I no longer had the fear of Damon's threat inside me, the sleep must have done a lot in calming my nerves down.

A minute later, he comes out with a tray of sandwiches, adequately garnished with the proper condiments, two glasses of fruit juices to gulp it down with, my mouth begins to water. I rise up to take it from him and place it on the table but he insists and I sit down.

"I just feel like making you happy and forget your sorrows." He whispers into my ears, I would take this as flirting until I look at his face and a serious expression is right there. There is no element of pretence on it.
