CHAPTER 2

CARLA

"This can't work. I can't allow that man to be my stepbrother," I groaned in my room, pacing about in anger.

"I didn't know Mom was dating a billionaire. I wonder how they even met." I continued to pace about, until I came to a stop at the window.

I looked and saw Diego and his father getting into their car.

"Inasmuch as I love my mother, I can't allow Diego to be a part of this family. I'll have to end this union between Mom and Mr Smith," I decided.

It's the only way I can keep that beast from coming closer to me.

If not for Mom that called my name when Diego had me against the wall, he wouldn't have set me free.

Such a man can't be a part of my home. This relationship has to end.

I watched Mom wave goodbye at Diego and his father, before making her way to the house.

Quickly, I rushed out of my room to see her.

"So, what do you think about your new father?" She asked, grinning at me.

"Well..." I crossed my arms. "He's not that bad."

"Not that bad? Is that the best you can say about your future father?" She asked, finding my response unhelpful.

"I'm not saying he's bad, I'm just... It's just a that I don't feel that fatherly connection with him," I claimed.

Mom stared at me for a minute, before chuckling out. I thought I broke her, but she turned out fine.

"Silly girl, you know nothing. When we get married you'll change your thoughts about him." She poked my nose, walking into the living room.

I didn't know how to change Mom's mind about Mr Smith. It's clear that she loves him so much.

How do I want to ruin this relationship without hurting Mom?

"Oops! I better go get my things ready for tonight's date with your stepfather," She said, rushing upstairs.

"A date? Perfect." I grinned, rubbing my hands in delight.

"I'll ruin this date for them both. Once there's a smoke, the fire will surely flame out," I planned.

.

Eight in the evening, I sneakily came out of Mom's room, running to the living room to get her phone.

She's in the bathroom getting set for her dinner date. This is the right time to execute my plan.

I took Mom's phone and texted Mr Smith, claiming Mom won't come for dinner because she's mad at him.

The moment I dropped the phone down...

"AHHH! " I heard Mom scream.

I grinned, making my way up the stairs to see her.

"What happened?" I asked, acting all innocent.

Mom showed me her dress set for dinner. It was damaged from both sides.

"I can't wear this! Why didn't I check it before leaving the store? Carlos didn't even see it!" She cried.

As a supportive daughter, I sat beside Mom, comforting her.

If only she knows that her lovely daughter is the monster that chopped both sides of her dress.

"Don't cry Mom. Maybe you'll have to cancel your date with..."

KNOCK! KNOCK!! We heard a knock on the door.

On checking, we're stunned to see Mr Smith at the door. He's fast!

He stepped in to know what happened to my Mom. My Mom was too sad to respond properly.

"It's the dress. It's ruined!" She cried.

Mr Smith saw this but laughs at Mom.

"Is that why you're all sad? Don't worry, I got you a more better dress. I felt it's better if my bride wore something fancy."

Right before our eyes, Mr Smith gave Mom a beautiful silver dress. That got Mom smiling and me frowning.

"Is that why you texted me that you won't talk to me again?"

"What? I didn't text you? I wasn't with my..." Mom paused, directing her gaze on me.

When I saw her eyes, I tried to avoid it.

"Clara Parker, why did you ruin my dress?" She questioned.

Bursted.

"I'm sorry Mom. I had to because I didn't want to be alone without you," I lied.

And just like that, Mom fell for my lies.

"You should have said so than harming the poor dress." Mr Smith laughed at me.

I gave a smile.

"Oh! Let's call Diego over to stay with Clara," Mom suggested.

On hearing that, I freaked out. "What?!"

"Yes dear. That way you won't feel lonely." She patted me.

"You two can use this opportunity to know yourself better. I'll call Diego now," Mr Smith said, taking his phone out while Mom ran up the stairs to change.

I brought this upon myself. I tried to ruin Mom's date but got punished by the heavens again.

I don't want Diego here.

.

Diego arrived before Mom and Mr Smith left. I stayed in my room, making sure that I was far away from that man.

To sleep became a problem. I can't help but think of what he's doing in the living room.

Curious, I left my room to check, but found Diego laying on the couch, attending to his phone.

"Look at him, laying on my coach like it's his home. He better not mess up that living room, " I said, watching him.

I thought I'd leave afterwards, but my foot got frozen to the ground on seeing Diego taking off his shirt, going all bare chest.

That left my body heating on seeing his well built figure, with the tattoo of a dragon on his right arm.

"Wow, why didn't I take note of this before?" I asked, staring at him.

My heart fluttered as I watched him stretch out like he's about to do some press ups. The thought of leaving vanished. All I wanted now was to stare at this handsome man in my home.

That's when Diego looked my way, letting out a smirk.

He saw me! He knows I'm here!

Feeling my face flushing red, I hid myself, so he won't see me any more. But who am I kidding?

Sighing, I stepped out of my hiding spot and walked into the living room, sitting on the couch Diego sat on.

His eyes fell on me and I couldn't help but look away.

"Didn't know you had a tattoo." I looked at him.

"That's because you didn't take the time to look," He responded, leaning against the couch, almost next to me.

I felt my heart beating, unable to take my eyes of Diego.

"Can I touch it?" I requested, finding it silly of me.

But Diego didn't object. He drew closer to me, allowing our legs to touch.

I touched his tattoo, feeling the dragon design on his skin.

I gave a soft gasp, trying to control myself from the sudden temptation rising in me.

"Did it hurt?" I lifted my eyes at him.

His green eyes shone at me, as I felt Diego draw nearer to me. I didn't move an inch but kept looking at him.

His body came closing the gap, as he said, finding his way to my lap, "It depends on how fast the needle went in."

His hand went into my dress, caressing my lap. I felt weak, as my eyes slowly came shut, feeling Diego's hands taking over me.

"It all depends on the pace," He whispered closely to my ears, revealing how near he was to me.

Like some kind of spell, Diego had me in his hold. His arms carefully lifting me off the couch and straight on the ground.

There was no time to think of what's happening. He came in quick, dominating like the last time.

I moaned, feeling his thrust moving smoothly into me.

"You are going to love having me as your step-brother." His lips trailed my neck, brushing it with kisses.

My eyes came rolling, feeling how he pushed right inside of me, slowly.

A gasp escaped my lips as he increased his pace, taking over my lips with hunger.

I grabbed him close, moaning out with pleasure.

Every thrust he made, sent me begging for more.

"Diego!" I called his name almost like a scream, wrapping my arms around his neck.

"You are mine now," he whispered to me, going faster than before.

I had no words to say. This man has me under his spell.
