Chapter forty one

“Good day sir, I hope I’m not disturbing anything”, Sophie said bumping into Damon on purpose.

“No it’s fine, what are you doing here? It’s closing hours already”, he asked like a boss should.

“I just wanted to check on Naomi, I thought she was having a thing with my cousin later” she said

“I just wanted to know if she’s working late so I could cover for her but it seems like she’s way ahead and have gone to meet him”

“Ohh really?”, he asked as his demeanour changed. It was something he couldn’t hide and Sophie didn’t miss it.

“Yes sir, I think they have like a dinner thing tonight”, I said as I was clearly just here to let him see that Naomi is out with Phil and he should forget about whatever he feels for her. The way his eyes changed so quickly when I mentioned she’s going out with my cousin, Phil was right Damon loves Naomi.

“Okay so now you’ve found out she’s gone already, can I leave?”, he said a little too aggressively as Sophie stood in front of him.

“Oh yes sir
