Chapter twenty three

“Hey! You finally remember i exist, he spilled out immediately as I entered his office.

“Good day sir, I just wanted to help Daniel drop these documents”, I said stiffly as I was still finding it very hard to look at his face and thereby avoiding to look directly at him all week.

“Sit!” He ordered with so much authority before I could run away from him.

“Sir? I think Daniel might be needing my help anytime from now”, I lied looking for any excuse to be anywhere but here in front of him.

“I hope you remember I’m the boss, so just sit there. Have you been avoiding me?” He asked blatantly.

“Not at all sir, I am just trying to help him sort out something’s he missed when he was away”, I said with the perfect excuse.

“You’ve been helping him all week and with the way you two are always together, someone might read another meaning to it” he said more like he was asking to know for himself if anything was going on between me and Daniel.
