Chapter Thirty-Eight II

Sophia remained silent until they reached the resthouse. There are associates that greeted Vincent as they make their way inside of the house yet they didn't get any response from Vincent, not even a nod. They are used of that attitude of their boss but not Sophia.

She doesn't have a single idea for why Vincent asked her to follow him but she's doing it anyway. She is aware that Vincent only find her to personally tell her how thankful he is that she saved the love of his life, Celestine. But she is still hoping that it is not the only reason why he wants to see her.

Vincent stepped on the staircase and stopped midway when he feel that no one is following him. He looked over his shoulder and found Sophia at the end of the staircase, eyes on her feet and hands behind her.

He cleared his throat. "Why you stopped? Are you alright?" he worriedly asked then he walked downstairs to check on her.

She looked up and ask. "Can we just talk here?"

"We don't have privacy here," he answered
