Michael's Point of View

Standing outside watching as our pack training. A smile appears on my face. The trust and loyalty these people have in us. Thinking, they have every right not to trust us. We left them. Without any warning. They hardly cared for our return. But here they are, training their butts off. Wanting to save our pack. To save their pups and husbands.

Turning around, I made my way to the river. From here you could see the castle. Mostly, you could see Austin's room. I turn to face the castle. Looking through Austin's window. Seeing him sitting at his workbench. Not lifting his head for one second.

The stress that he must feel right now. Must be overwhelming. The thought that you might lose your entire pack in one blow. Your entire family.

Even the thought makes me worry.

Turning to face the river. Staring out onto the waters, the soothing sound calms me down. I close my eyes. Dreaming of the days when everything was so much simpler. Easier. Not the worry of keeping a
