Prince Luther flew to his father's throne room. He landed at the entrance, where two guards stood with their war spears. They quickly paid their respect once they saw him, and made way for him to enter. The throne room was bathed in gold. The ceiling rose to form a dome, with different paintings on it. A blue carpet the colour of the sea ran in the middle of the room starting from the entrance to the throne seat. There was a higher section in the room that was made to look like a balcony, only that people viewed the throne room from that area. Guards stood there with their war spears, along with some elites who looked down at him as he walked down the room.By the steps leading to the throne seat stood two statues flanked by its sides. They were the gigantic sculptures of two women of the Enu realm, with their wings spread out and high up in the air as they each held a flaming torch. Behind the seat itself were two huge palm-like plants, that helped block the king from the sun rays sh
Dead in the night, Glovia snuck her way back into Prince Luther's quarters. The room was dark when she entered, with only a few candles lit. She closed the door silently behind her and glanced at Prince Luther's bed. She could see his still form, so she immediately surmised that he was asleep. Slowly, she began making her way to where she usually slept, trying her best not to cause any noise."Where are you coming from?"Glovia's heart slammed in her chest at the sound of Prince Luther's voice. She paused, took in a deep breath and slowly turned around to face her master. She almost screamed at the sight of him just a few feet away from her with his hands folded across his chest. "M–My Lord..." She said, bowing her head reflexively, then quickly raising it back up when she remembered that he didn't like her doing that."I asked you a question." He said, keeping his voice bland. "Why do you stammer?"Heart thudding heavily, she swallowed and folded her shaking hands. "I have been busy,
Luther and his brothers slowly entered the ring. They studied the other, each waiting for one to attack. The crowd watched on, and the intense anticipation could be felt all over the arena. Luther smiled, grinning evilly. No doubt, they were all hoping that his brothers could defeat him, just as Stev had done. Thinking of Stev made him remember the relationship he had with Glovia. He wished that she could be in the arena to watch him fight, but he would rather she remained in his room. He had to teach her a lesson while he stood his ground. He looked at his brothers and took a deep breath. They were all still circling each other. Tired of waiting, Luther struck Melik first with a sudden magical blow, sending his brother flying several feet away. His other brother, Han, who was the youngest, flew towards him in rage, with his sword held high. Luther released another magic stream towards him, causing him to land heavily on the ground in a heap. Luther glanced at the purple glow of his
A banquet was held in Luther's favour. After the end of the match, people went back to prepare for the evening event that always came after it. His brothers were not able to attend the event as they were currently undergoing severe healing procedures. Luther smirked at the memory, slowly sipping out of his wine cup.The banquet was held in a large ballroom. All the members of the elite families had gathered to pay their respects to the supreme lord and his newly crowned prince. Though the supreme lord was yet to make a formal statement, they all knew that in the end, Luther would be the one to succeed the throne after him.The banquet hall was bathed in the colour gold. There was a waterfall right in the middle of the room, with a curved table placed around it. Just a few feet by the left and right side of the curved table, were another set of different seats. Unlike the curved one, it could only seat one person. Built majestically right in the far end of the room from the hall entra
Two days had passed since Glovia and Stev had eloped. They were the best days of Glovia's life.Glovia has never felt so loved, that all she wished for was to be stuck with the one who loved her for life. She saw another side to Stev, a side that he hardly showcased. She was also happy that she would be the only one who ever saw it.It was the early hours of the day. Glovia woke up to the loud chirping of birds around her home. She smiled, as she slowly rose from the bed. She turned to her side and saw Stev still fast asleep. She leaned down and placed a soft kiss on his lips, causing him to slowly open his eyes."Good morning." He said groggily, though a smile graced his face."Good morning." She whispered. "How was your night?""Great." He grinned, leaning up to kiss her. He let their lips dance together for a while, freely expressing his love for her through his kiss. Glovia slowly melted, falling into it. When they were about to lose their breath, they eased back, and Glovia place
PART TWOTwo hundred years later...Luther woke up from his long night of rest. He slowly rose from his lying position and stretched his arm, yawning widely. He was now the king of the Enu realm; had been for quite some time. His father died a hundred years ago, automatically passing the mantle unto him. For some reason, before he died he was hesitant to give Luther his crown, but fate had other plans. He slowly stood from his bed, adorned in only silk robes. He had a wild night to himself, lost in the ecstasy of his wine, and in preparation for what was to happen in the next few days; His sacrifice. One had to wonder about the source of his immortality. It was something be came across by luck. It all happened when he was going on a journey across realms. Just a few weeks after killing his brother Stev, he decided to take a few weeks off to rid his mind of the image of Glovia stabbing herself. He headed straight for the Zruch realm because he had a mild interest in their use of magic
Gianna didn't know when exactly her life took a turn for the worst. Growing up in the lower level of the Enu realm, she had to fight her way through most situations, just so she could survive. Though she didn't like it, it was the only life she had ever known. Most of the people of the lower realm did jobs that were lower than animals. But in other to survive, they had no choice but to do it. A few of them had been able to make it out of the lower level to the middle level, and even some rare ones land in the upper level. Stories like that though, to the remaining people left in the lower level, were all myths. They'd rather continue at what they do than delude themselves that any of them would ever be able to make it out of that place. Gianna on the other hand held unto that hope. Though she didn't express it as much as she wished, she had always believed that one day, she would leave the lower level. She worked hard, saving whatever little she could to ensure that one day she would
Gianna's eyes widened in surprise. The last thing she expected was to be given a job in the castle of the supreme lord, and as his servant at that."My Lord," she exclaimed, speechless. "I know you are surprised, but something tells me you would do a good job." Luther declared. He watched her closely, studying her expression.Gianna couldn't help but hesitate. She didn't know why he suddenly wanted her to work for him, and even if it was for a good reason, she had no training whatsoever when it came to the castle."My Lord, I have no training to work for you. I am so beneath you to even stand next to you.""And I have decided to elevate your status." Luther cut in. Gianna simply started at him, curiosity and shock shining through her eyes. "I advise you to make up your mind quickly. I do not have time to spare."Gianna thought fast, going through all the pros and cons of this agreement. Was it fair for her not to die along with her husband? But then also, wouldn't that make his death
