The work hours were finally over. Gwendolyn left her office and headed straight for her house. She planned on dressing up, then leaving her house again, going straight to her boyfriend’s house. It’s been a year since she and Charles started dating. Everything had been going well since the beginning of their relationship, that was, till recent times. He had been acting strange, had become secretive, and rarely had enough time for her. Maybe she was just overthinking, she thought. She finally arrived at her house and walked to the entrance, opening the door with the key she always carried around. She entered inside, not surprised to see everywhere dark. Her mother wasn’t usually around by this time of the day. She would probably still be at her little shop, attending to the customers whom she had made addicted to her confectionaries. Gwendolyn shut the door behind her, placing her coat atop the coat hanger by the door. She walked straight to her room, hung her bag by her door, and qui
The days passed by, and finally, the day for the Baron's party arrived. Gwendolyn had been going to the office early and working harder than usual, trying her best to forget about Charles. Since her last meeting with him, he hadn't sent a letter to her or anything. He was serious when he said he really didn't feel anything for her anymore. She had the day off– thanks to her boss– to prepare for the party. The whole day was spent trying to select a gown to wear. Her mother would have helped her, but she had to go to work. After several tries, she finally selected a white long gown that clinched the upper part of her body, enhancing her bosom. She wore a corset to enhance it, and it made her chest seem fuller. The gown flayed down to her ankles, gently showing off her rounded hips. She wore cream sandals and let her black hair down. It was short, reaching just her shoulder. Dragging her hands down her form, she smiled satisfactorily. Then she picked up her bag, looked at herself one fi
The lady looked at him strangely, probably wondering what he was doing there. “Uh, hi. How may I help you?” “I would love to know your name.” Tyron urged. “I am Gwendolyn.” He grinned. “Nice to meet you, Gwendolyn.” He looked around the hall. “I noticed that you were the only one seated here, and so I opted to join you.” “Oh, I am not the only one here,” Gwendolyn said, waving her hands. “My boss went to make some inquiries. He would be back soon.” Tyron stared at the lady in front of him, a grin still etched widely on his face. He didn’t know why he was suddenly drawn to her. He studied her closely, trying to find if anything would make her far different than the rest. Apart from her beauty, she was just like any normal person. “Oh, okay then. Would you like me to leave?” Gwendolyn shrugged. “I do not mind. Once my boss starts to perform I wouldn’t be here anyway.” “May I ask who your boss is?” “Raul.” “The love singer?” She smirked. “Yes.” “Wow.” He exclaimed, intrigued.
Tyron made his way towards the fancy office studio. The entrance was beautifully decorated with different common plants which helped to liven up the place. He and Elijah walked towards it, studying the clean environment. “Are you sure about this?” Elijah asked. “Yes.” Tyron replied, nodding his head. “You still haven’t told me how Raul is connected to your search.” “It’s a gut feeling. That’s all.” Elijah sighed. “Sometimes, you really can be annoying. Just tell me your mission already. I’m dying of curiosity.” Tyron paused, then turned to look at Elijah. He folded his hands behind him, gently kicking at the ground. “My father sent me to look for someone. Until I find the said person, I cannot return home.” “Oh. Wow. I didn’t know it was this serious.” “Sadly, it is. That’s why I hardly talk about it.” He released a long breath, then turned back towards the entrance. “Now that you understand why I want to do this, can we go ahead with it already?” They both continued their w
In the Enu realm, seated languidly atop the throne was the supreme lord, looking at his kneeling subjects drily. He was beautiful; his white hair splayed over his throne, reaching the floor. His eyes were dark onyx, beautiful and dangerous. His face was perfectly sculpted, and it was no surprise as he had reached the level of a god. His power enveloped the whole room, making the kneeling subjects quiver in fear where they were. “Report.” He commanded, his voice coming out cool. “My lord,” the leader said, coming forward. He was the general of the special team created to find the abomination. He bowed fully, his head touching the ground. “We haven’t found any trace of the abomination.” The supreme lord leaned on his hand, looking at the general blandly. “Why am I not surprised.” He said, his voice coming out monotonously. “How long have you been put in charge of this search?” “Over two decades, my lord.” The general answered shakily. “Hmm. You have been there for a long time. Don’
Several weeks passed since Tyron visited Gwen in her place of work. Ever since then, he had always been visiting her and getting closer to her. At some point, Raul stopped him from coming to his studio because he was getting irritated with always seeing Tyron’s face. Gwen and Tyron exchanged house addresses, and so they always mailed each other the contents of their day. Tyron felt guilty about his interaction with Gwen since he was only using her to find the abomination. He couldn’t deny the fact though, that despite that reason, he always looked forward to Gwen’s letter. Surprisingly, she had taken a special spot in his heart, which was something he never expected would happen. One sad thing that he understood perfectly, was that he could never be in a relationship with her, not with his father always hovering over his neck. Even if he didn’t, Tyron still couldn’t imagine having a relationship with Gwendolyn, just for the sad fact that he was a prince. Could he give up his positio
Tyron quickly stood up from his seat, a forced smile etched on his face as he watched Sandra make her way to him. What was she dong there? He wondered. Sandra’s appearance could only mean one thing no matter how hard he thought; his father wanted to pass a message that he was watching him. “Why did you come here?” he asked once she finally stopped at his front. Sandra grinned, her eyes alight with joy. “I wanted to assist you, so I asked your father to send me down here. I left just yesterday.” Tyron frowned. If she left just yesterday, that means his father had been monitoring his movements all along. He knew where Tyron was and made sure that he knew, lest he developed any unwarranted ideas. Slowly, Tyron grinned. The supreme lord was really a smart person, to suspect even his own son. “That’s very nice Sandra, but I have got everything covered. You do not need to worry about me.” “But I am here now,” she pushed, holding on to his arms and pouting. “You wouldn’t make me fly al
Sandra made her way into a small building that had the sign 'inn' hung atop it. She was lucky to have found one so quickly, as she had been wandering around the town aimlessly. Tyron was very rude to her. She was doing all she could to reign in her anger, because should she explode, there would be a huge destruction and that would cause a lot of attention to herself. That would halt their search. She walked inside the inn and looked around. It was very simple looking. A wooden desk was at one side of the room, and behind it were several small paintings hung on it. The other side of the wall had flowers on every side, both the painted kind and the real ones. By the far end of the room was a hallway, one she was sure led to the rooms. She frowned, seeing as the room was empty, and walked towards the desk. Atop the desk was a bell and some documents, and she rang the bell impatiently.Running sounds could be heard coming from the hallway, and Sandra frowned as she looked at who made h
