Chapter:07:The Jacket:

Nancy tightened her grip once more as

jealousy took over her.Her lips were trembling from anger and her knuckles turned white as she pressed her fists tightly without any care in the world.

They had only spent one night together

How has Jace become so attached to

her? Wouldn't it be nice if I was the one in the room that night...

Nancy cleared her mind and quickly rushed out of the room.

That jacket is important, Nora cannot

find out about its significance! Otherwise, our positions in the Willard family might have changed and I can't let that happen not now and definitely not in the future!

So Nancy sneaked into Nancy's empty room after convincing Gilbert to let her out for dinner.

She quietly began to go through her

things. She search everywhere and everything frantically ad if she was looking for an expensive ancentral heirloom.

After a good amount of time had passed,

she finally found Jace's jacket stashed

away in the lowermost drawer of Nora's

dresser.

Only when she had sneakily left Nora's

the room that she was finally able to calm

down.

Nancy then proceeded to hide the jacket carefully in her own room before she left.

In the hall, Nora was sitting at the

dining table having a simple pea soup

while she scrolled on her phone calmly.

Seeing that, Nancy trotted over and

grabbed Nora's phone from her.

Her heart was beating frantically afraid that Nora might get a glimpse of the news online.

"Nancy, why did you take my phone away?”

Nora scowled as she glared at Nancy with

an unfriendly gaze, Her hand was outstretched with an overthrow undertone of insisting that she wanted her phone back.

Nancy snorted. Not having any intention of giving Nora's phone back, she pocketed it.

“ Mom and Dad said you can't make use of any of the electronics at home for the time being, and that they don't really care about what you do after you marry Julius and go back to the Quade family.

Nora retracted her hand and said with a cold tone,” Mom and dad didn't say that. It was your idea, wasn't it? It was you all along, right?” Nora asked with her gaze fixed on her sister.

Nancy sat down opposite Nora at the table. A servant immediately served a bowl of green turtle soup for her– A stark

discrepancy to Nora's pea soap.

Looking up at Nora, she lightly stirred

her soup with a silver spoon

"My dear sister, what difference does it

make? As long as I suggested it, mom and dad will agree, don't you think so?”

With their parents give out for the bight, Nora was left at the mercy of her sister, Nancy.

Nora kept quiet as she attack her pea

soup. She agreed, which is why she did

not insist on having her phone back.

Seeing the impassivity of Nora's reaction, Nancy was left utterly disappointed.

As she remembered that she had mistaken sent Nora to the bed of  her

dream man, she began fuming again.

With a smile on her face, Nancy tugged away  Nora's pea soup and said,“ dearest sis, you're going to be married to the son of the Quade family soon, how could you

drink something so unhealthy?”

Nora looked at Nancy with a cold gaze and said, “What are you getting at, Nancy?”

Nancy picked up her own bowl of soup and held it in front of Nora "My plate of green turtle soup is still untouched, I'll let you have mine” Nancy said with a warm smile.

“No need, thank you.” Nora stood up and wanted to leave.

Seeing this, Nancy pressed on Nora's shoulder and forced her to sit back down.

“Your sister is being nice here, so you should finish the soup first!”

As she finished speaking, Nancy tilted her hand that held the bowl of soup and

poured all of its content on the table.

The green turtle soup plunged across the

smooth table surface and soon began to drip onto Nora from its corner.

The sticky liquid dripped onto Nora's

clothes, making a mess of it.

Nora's brows slowly knitted toward each

other as her face turned soured by the second.

"On, no, the soup is dripping"

Although Nancy pretended to panic, the tilt in her hand showed that she had no

intention of stopping. On the contrary,

she flicked her wrist and splashed the

rest of the content onto Nora's face.

"Nora, don't worry, the table is clean

You can continue eating this soup. After

all, you've never tasted anything so

luxurious”

Nora pushed away Nancy's arm that was

pressed down on her shoulder and slowly

stood up.

The stains on her dress did not dampen

the spirit she had. "Nora, you're my older

sister, so there are many things you do that I put up with. But don't cross the

line, because everyone has their limits.

When  at last shield of walls, even cats

can roar"

Having dropped her last word, she

walked away decisively without looking

at the furious Nancy.

Nancy snorted and smirked as she looked at Nora's leaving silhouette.

"A roaring cat who has been suppressed

by me since young? I'd like to see you roar for real and I will definitely not give you a chance to roar”  Nancy said as she looked at Nora with pure hatred.

Her heart was filled with jealousy and her mind schemed bitterly. As she thought of her meeting with Jace Haddock, she becomes even more vicious as her eyes glowed with resentment.
