Lily shut the bedroom door behind her and turned around to face him, but her eyes were downcast. She had grown more beautiful since the last time he saw her. The bruises and marks on her face and body were gone, bringing her skin back to ethereal white, and now, she stood there like the goddess he was supposed to worship.
