Chapter 16

The Third Person’s POV

At the entrance of the dungeon, Barnett frowned as he looked at the sleeping soldiers. Initially, he thought they were neglecting their duties, but as he ventured further, he noticed more soldiers unconscious on the ground. He also caught a whiff of a lingering scent of some drug in the air, realizing that someone had drugged these soldiers to secretly infiltrate the dungeon.

Barnett slowed his pace, walking towards the dungeon. He heard a familiar voice - his sister Clara. He hid in the shadows, wanting to eavesdrop on what Clara was up to.

"You... you wouldn't dare kill me now. Tomorrow, the king will be furious that someone dared to act recklessly on his territory," Theresa resisted Clara defiantly.

"Rest assured, I didn't come here to kill you," Clara revealed an evil smile. "I'm here to tell you that I'm going to let my brother know you're not his savior."
