Chapter 22

Bella’s pov

In a hazy state, I felt as though someone was touching my forehead. My consciousness gradually cleared, and suddenly I remembered what happened before I lost consciousness. Those bandits knocked me out! I jolted awake, wide-eyed.

Panting, I widened my eyes but unexpected to see a young girl. She awkwardly withdrew her hand.

"You're awake," the girl said and then coughed violently. "Cough, cough, cough..."

"Who are you?" It was a small room with nailed windows and a closed door. "Where am I?"

"I'm Judy," the girl said, easing up a bit with an apologetic look. "I don't know where this is either." Judy continued coughing, then the door opened, and a little girl walked in.

It was the girl who stole my money!

"It's you!" I immediately tried to stand up but failed due to dizziness.

The little girl brought a cup of water and handed it to Judy. "Sister, are you feeling unwell again?"

These two turned out to be sisters. What was their connection to the people who kidnapped me?
