It was a relief to reunite with my mate, and I felt grateful that she stood before me unharmed. Shifting back to human form, I embraced her tightly. Her warm hands on my face brought a sense of relaxation and ease. After hours of uncertainty, my hesitant heart finally let go, allowing me to breathe freely again.
