The Choosing

Aaron's POV

I opened my eyes and immediately searched for Natalia and I saw her sitting on the couch in front of the bed. She was watching me with a smile on her face.

I frowned, trying to make sense of the difference in my body. I felt so relaxed and well rested, something that I had not felt in a very long time. My brain was slowly booting, and it took me a moment to realize that I had slept. I had fucking slept without my pills, and for the first time in eighteen years, my mind shut down.

I then stared at my mate who was watching me. This would not had been possible without her, and I wondered if she had any idea what she had done, how much it meant to me?

"Good afternoon, sleepy Alpha. You might have been forced to resign if you sleep in the pack house like this."

I didn't register the rest of what she said, I just heard that it was already past noon. Not only did I sleep, I also slept for long. No wonder my body was feeling a lot more rested.
