Chapter 21: Arriving at the Boreal Forest Kingdom

When they returned to the car, Gray silently stared out the window, biting into her vanilla shortcake. Judah just stared at her, slowly eating his chips. He wanted to say something to Gray, but the young lady didn't want to talk.

Gray felt his eyes burning a hole in her shoulder, and she rolled her eyes, turning her head to him.

"Didn't your mother ever teach you that it's rude to stare?"

Judah smirked and turned forward, placing another potato chip in his mouth.

"I'm not staring; I'm studying," he replied.

Gray narrowed in annoyance.

"I'm not a book; mind your own business," she snapped.

"On the contrary, sweetheart. All of this…" Judah twirled his finger in her direction, " It is my business."

Gray just looked at him and sighed.

"Whatever. Men are so infuriating," she said before twisting the cap of her cola.

"And women aren't?" he replied.

Instead of answering Judah, Gray chose to keep quiet and drank her cola. She's not in the mood to give him sass. She's just too tired
