Chapter 24: Fake it until you can make it out

Judah was taken aback. He had learned that Gray often burst out in anger, but now she was calm, but he knew she was far from calm.

"What do you expect of me, a free wolf suddenly placed in a place like this? Would you think I'll adjust that fast according to what you want, Judah? I'm not used to being bossed around, let alone doing anything for me. I'm capable of doing everything on my own. I'm not used to eating what you rich wolves eat. And lastly, I don't want to be mated to anyone, especially to a Royal like you," she said, not in an angry tone but a matter of fact, in a calm way. "When I said I will try, you must give me enough time to adjust. You cannot assume that it'll be that soon. Now, if you excuse me," she said before standing up and leaving the unfinished plate in front of Judah, who only stared at her angrily.
