Chapter 29

Vivian stood at the balcony, staring at nothing in particular. Her gaze was cold and held no emotions in them. She stood there for a while, turned around and walked back to her room.

She walked towards the door, holding the door's knob. Her eyes slowly dimmed as if she was scared of taking a step out. She removed her hand from the knob and fell to the ground, wrapping her hand around her body.

The cold evening and the darkness in her room were exactly what she needed to get through that evening. She knew too well, she was playing a dangerous game. One that could ruin her completely. But then, she had no choice, she had never been given a choice.

She needed to be here even if she didn't want to. She has a limited time, one that would soon be out of reach.
