Chapter 32 Mixed Signals

HERMIONE'S POV

I raised my head, looking at Phoenix and stopped teasing looked with him.

“You really don't have anything else that you want to say to me?” I asked while looking at him calmly.

I wanted to just directly ask him why he was reluctant to mark me when the way he approached me right now was as if I was his beloved.

I would be a fool to believe him because of the mixed signals he gave me.

I want clarification.

But I couldn't ask him.

I want him to explain it to me. To take initiative to explain.

Hah, I should not think too much about it.

Phoenix looked at me with a smile and shook his head. “There's none.”

I see.

I nodded my head. “Okay then, get out.”

His brows furrowed. “Why?”

I shrugged my shoulders. “No reason. Just get out.”

“But I don't want to,” he stubbornly said.

“Up to you.” I added indifferently, and started to eat what he cooked.

I wasn't surprised that the food he cooked was either too salty or bland.

Yet I finished it all because I was so hungry.

“Was it good?”
