" Thank you so much for coming, " I say to one of the women I was seated with. Her husband was one of Killian's advisors, she was also the daughter of one of the strongest alphas in the Kingdom. Both of us were friends, we have been since we met last 2 weeks ago, not because we liked each other, however we were both wives of powerful men in the kingdom and it was expected that we get along. Besides, I needed people who would have my back once I started my full duties as the Luna of the kingdom

" Of course, I wouldn't miss an opportunity to see you. However I noticed the king wasn't present. Does he have something to do?"

On hearing her words, I was alerted about the absence of my husband at the party. I had seen Killian discussing with some guests not long ago, he seemed to have left while I was still distracted entertaining my friends. I wasn't very happy that he had left the party without talking to me.
