Edward and Emily slept in after the awkward encounter that they both had. The next day, none of them spoke to the other, only giving each other slight nods, Edward with his mask on throughout and Emily with a frown imprinted on her face, as they walked past each other to acknowledge their presence.

Edward, on one hand, was not angry at Emily but was sad and felt it was too early to speak with her at the moment. Emily on the other hand was angry at her new husband for acting that way towards her.
