Third POV

As Wyatt approached the room, his eyebrows furrowed and his gaze fixed firmly on the end of the corridor. He paused in the doorway, his hands clenched into fists, the knuckles turning slightly white with strength as tension tightened his muscles.

Thoughts about Harper rushed through his mind, filling him with unease and conflict. He could easily kill any enemy, but when it came to Harper, he felt helpless.

Finally, he suppressed all his emotions and pushed the door open.

Suppressing all his emotions, Wyatt pushed the door open and as it swung open, he saw a dagger fall with a crunch to the floor at Harper's feet.

Harper seemed a little nervous as she quickly kicked the dagger away, but soon hid it with a sweet smile. "You're back."

Wyatt watched her and took a deep breath, trying to calm the restlessness in his heart. His gaze remained fixed on Harper, as if trying to see into the depths of her soul. "Aren't you asleep? You said you were tired."
