Chapter 41

Melissa's Pov

I ran to my room to get myself together. What is happening to me? Why do I feel as if I know this person? I need to get hold of myself before I lose myself.

I drank a glass of water, took a deep breath and have my eyes tightly closed. I opened my eyes and made my way out of the room.

On my way to the sitting room, I got stopped by Jemima.

" What the hell are you doing here Melissa? You're not supposed to be on this floor" she glared.

I bowed my head " The room given to me is on this floor"

Jemima was angry " How is that even possible?! You are just a maid for God's sake. What did you do Mel?" 

Why is she behaving like this for crying out loud? The Jemima I know will never yell at me like this. She is always calm, cool, and collected but this sudden hatred is something I understand

" Please stop trying to always label me as a bad person. I'm sick and tired of you insulting me all the time. I did nothing wrong to you "
