74: A good king loves his people
“Where are we going?” Xavier’s sceptical voice asked as the carriage drove him and Mia away from the Palace.
Mia had stepped into his inner court and asked him out on a date. He had a lot to attend to, but she had never asked him out before and he couldn’t turn her down the first time she did. Besides, he wanted alone time with her as well. If he could get a week off his responsibilities, he’d take her off to the royal resort and spend every moment with her. For now, they made do with what they had. So he dropped everything and said yes.
There had been mischievousness in his little wife since they stepped into the carriage earlier. There was something she wasn’t telling him, and from the look of things, she planned a surprise for him. His heart skipped at the thought of what she planned out for them. Good day, wonderful readers, wherever you’re reading from. I decided to give a formal announcement. As I have stated in the little Author’s notes I’ve left in the previous chapter, there will be a bit of irregularity in my updating schedule from now on.I am a fresh graduate in my country and there is a mandatory 1-year service to my service for every graduate under the age of thirty.I started the process in January and on the 17th I received my call up later. I am currently at the three-week mandatory training camp and my schedule is a mess. I sleep late and wake at the wrong time. It has really disrupted my schedule. I can’t complain. I signed up for this, but it’s difficult and I’m adjusting.This message isn’t that I will stop updating altogether, it just means you will have to bear with me if the updates are short or I miss a few days. Thank you. Once I leave after 3 weeks, I will return to my normal schedule.
