Chapter Fifty-Three

Marcella walked into the classroom on Monday, her heart pounding with nerves. After the memorable weekend at Bella's party and the heated interaction with Professor Lucas in his car which led to the crazy wet dream, she didn't know what to expect.

A tiny part of her hoped he would be more friendly and cordial towards her, but as she settled into her seat, she noticed that nothing had changed. He was still his seemingly distant, cold and detached self and he barely acknowledged her presence.

As the class began, she tried to focus on the lecture, but her mind kept drifting to the events of the weekend. It must have all been in her head. The warmth and kindness she had glimpsed during their time together when he drove her home seemed to have vanished, leaving her feeling confused and a little hurt.
