Chapter Twenty-Six

As she arrived at the café, Marcella saw that there was a small line already forming outside. She rushed inside and quickly started her shift, taking orders and making the coffees as quickly as she could. It was a busy morning, and Marcella knew she didn't have a moment to spare.

"Good morning! What can I get for you?" Marcella greeted the first customer, a regular who always ordered a latte with extra foam.

"Same as usual," the customer replied, smiling.

"Coming right up!" Marcella quickly prepared the order and handed it over.

The next set of customers were a group of teenagers who ordered different types of frappuccinos. Marcella made their drinks with a smile, enjoying their youthful exuberance.

As the morning rush continued, she started to feel the pressure mounting. She was working as fast as she could, but the line just kept getting longer. Also, her coworker Ruth was yet to arrive and she felt a little irritated at her tardiness.
