After Lady Kira’s speech, the pack cheered and clapped for us. She had us climb the stage while they were cheering for us. When the cheering died down, we left the dais and went to join the party while our parents were still discussing with Lady Kira. Harlan went off somewhere with Austin and Cyrus.

They were dancing together and enjoying themselves. As for me, I could not wait to get back to my room and pack up for the journey tomorrow. I asked my father how far the Vampire Kingdom was from here and he said it was actually pretty close. We would get to the borders of the kingdom in six hours and it would take us another hour to get from the border to the palace.
