CHAPTER FIFTY-THREE

Michael’s POV

We began to gather the dead among the living. Cleaning the land. Then a car had just arrived to transport the dead when I sighted Zen. I beckoned for him to come.

“Have you told them to get ready?” I asked Zen.

"Yes, your highness."

We got into the car, and we left the burial. It would take place in the city council. All werewolves were invited.

“Mia?” I asked.

“Your Highness, from what I learned, she hasn’t left her room since yesterday,” he said. I nodded as I wondered which words I would use to console Mia. I exhausted most of them when her parents died.

Before the moon, we were already on our way to the pack. Hercules has been acting strange. He hadn’t said a word since we found Marcel dead.

"Hey,” I nudged him, and his eyes turned to me. The sadness in his eyes was evident.

"It's going to be alright,” I said. He nodded and continued, staring out in the open. He was just like a zombie.
