Putting my head in, I realised she was asleep but making weird noises.

“Stop, no... I'm sorry. It was all my fault. Mother it was all my fault, I admit it. If only I didn't... If only I didn't...” She was crying in her sleep and then sobbing badly. Her hands were shaking and then on her forehead were creases and then beads of sweat.

Is she having a nightmare?

I wondered moving closer.

The dream must be so bad.

What had she done? What does she blame herself for? I couldn't watch her cry like that. I closed the door immediately and started to walk downstairs. Then I went to the farm which was behind our house to check for the vodka.

Truly, I found it near the carrot plants. It was buried by the open space. Dropping the shovel, I dropped to the floor and began to drink from the vodka which opened with my teeth.
